George Washington Journal of Energy & Environmental Law

Home

The George Washington Journal of Energy & Environmental Law (JEEL) focuses on both energy-related and environment-related legal issues, policy issues, and their intersections. JEEL is published twice per year by students of The George Washington University Law School in collaboration with our publisher, Sheridan. Because JEEL publishes twice per year, we accept and review submissions on a timeline alternative to that of other environmental law journals. One issue of each annual volume is published in the winter, and one in the spring. We consider and review submissions in the late spring/summer and early fall/winter periods exclusively in order to enable that strict schedule.

We are particularly interested in articles addressing international treaties, legislative initiatives in other countries, U.S. federal and state legislation, and case law developments dealing with issues such as:

JEEL provides a unique opportunity to reach both traditional law review audiences and the subscribed base of ELR News & Analysis. Because the Journal is distributed both to ELR subscribers and to law schools, libraries, and government agencies, it allows Authors to engage both scholars and practitioners in examining the law and policies related to sustainable energy production and use.

Contact jeel@law.gwu.edu with any inquiries. Contact jeel.submissions@law.gwu.edu for questions regarding submissions. Our Editor-in-Chief can be reached at jeel.eic@law.gwu.edu.
